San José Church (Iglesia de San José), located in Old San Juan within the historic colonial section of the capital of Puerto Rico, is one of the first significant works of architecture on the island. The church is one of the earliest surviving examples of 16th-century Spanish Gothic architecture in the Western hemisphere.

With leaves that are bright green on one side and shimmering silver on the bottom side, the Yagrumo tree, is a rapidly growing neotropical tree species that is common in Puerto Rico/Antilles islands. Locals say that it predicts weather, turning its leaves upside down when rains are approaching revealing the shimmering silver color.
To us it has come to symbolize growth, resilience and hope. All of which are virtues worth pursing.
